Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and how to have it corrected or deleted.
Who we are
Soal Design Inc. ("we", "us") is a Delaware corporation and is responsible for your information. Contact us at hello@soal.design.
What we collect
- When you fill in our form: your name, email address, and your answers to a few short questions about your home.
- When you buy: your name, email, billing country and postal code, and for printed products your delivery address and phone number. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- When you complete the Core Code questionnaire: your answers, basic details you give us, any feedback, and the profile we produce from your answers.
- When you use our website: pages visited, your browser and device type, IP address, and cookie identifiers. See "Cookies and advertising".
We do not ask for information about your health, finances, religion or politics, and we do not buy information about you from others.
How we use it
- To answer you and recommend the right product or service
- To take payment and deliver what you bought
- To produce your Core Code report
- To send you emails you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve our questionnaire, using answers without your name attached
- To measure our advertising and show our ads to people likely to be interested
- To keep our website secure and stop spam
- To meet tax and legal obligations
Your Core Code profile is created from your answers. It is used only to create your report and is never used to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the business. They may only use your information to provide their service to us, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Payment processing (Stripe)
- Email and contact management
- Website hosting, forms and spam protection
- Secure data storage and the tools that move data between our systems
- Advertising measurement (Meta), described below
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a buyer if Soal Design Inc. is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to apply. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and advertising
Our website uses cookies that it needs to work, including one from our spam protection. We also use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies (kept up to 90 days) so Meta can tell us which ads led people to our site. When you fill in our form or buy, our server also tells Meta that this happened. Before your email and name are sent, they are converted into a scrambled code (hashed) that Meta can only use to match you to an existing Meta account. Meta uses this information under its own terms and privacy policy. Meta never receives your questionnaire answers or your profile.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, the Meta Pixel stays off until you click Accept in our cookie banner, and if you decline we do not tell Meta about your form either. You can change your choice at any time with the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page.
Everywhere else, you can opt out with the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page, by adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by emailing us.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not become customers: 24 months
- Questionnaire answers and profiles: while you are a customer, or until you ask us to delete them
- Order and payment records: 7 years, as tax law requires
- Email list: until you unsubscribe
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@soal.design. We respond within 30 days and never charge for it.
EU, EEA and UK. You also have the right to restrict or object to our use of your information, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. We rely on: contract (to provide what you bought), consent (marketing email and advertising cookies), legitimate interests (security and improving our service), and legal obligation (tax records). You can complain to your local data protection authority.
California. You have the right to know what we collect, to delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell your information. Our use of the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out at any time with the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page, or by emailing us with the subject "Do not share". We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a request to opt out. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you, and we may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.
International transfers
Some of our providers are in the United States. Where information about people in Europe is transferred there, we rely on the standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards our providers offer.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Our services are not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date above. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email.
